Wristband transmitters
Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is about to make finding individuals with autism or Alzheimer’s disease who’ve strayed from home a lot easier. Fairfield County is going to launch Project Lifesaver, a tracking system that uses radio frequencies and wristband transmitters to locate lost loved ones. The new system will reduce search time down by hours and possibly days. The average amount of time to find a lost individual wearing a wristband transmitter is 30 minutes. Individuals who participate in this program wear battery-powered, personalized wristbands law enforcement members locate with a mobile tracking system.
