Ground Hog day is celebrated on February 2 in United States and Canada. On this day, froundhog awakens from a long winter's nap, and goes outside of his den to see if he sees his shadow. If groundhog sees his shadow on a sunny morning, there will be six more weeks of winter. He will then return back to his den and sleep again. If he does not see his shadow, he plays around outside of his hole for a while. If he does not see his shadow, spring is just around the corner. German immigrants brought the tradition with them from Germany. You can remember this day by buying a
wristband with a message
"Happy Ground Hog Day".
