Consumption of egg nog peaks on christmas Eve. During holidays, light rum and cognac is added, to make it a seasonal alcoholic beverage. Egg nog is a rich frothy textured sweet beverage made from milk, cream, sugar, beaten eggs and garnished with cinnamon and nutmeg.
