Purple wristbands
can be used to create awareness and raise money
for Cystic Fibrosis, Alzheimer's disease, pancreatic
cancer, stop Animal Abuse, Domestic violence and
National Kidney Federation.
 Purple bands are used
to raise awareness and money to find a cure for
Cystic Fibrosis. This is a life threatening disease
which has affected nearly 7,500 people in the UK.
People who suffer with this disease often need lung
transplants. The money that is raised goes to Cystic
Fibrosis Trust which is used to find a cure for
the illness. Words like "Hope, Faith, Courage and
strength" can be written on the wristband.
Color Wristbands are
used in Washington hospitals to know what disease
does a patient have without going through his history.
Purple wristbands denote the symbol "Do
not resuscitate". Some patients have expressed
an end-of-wish and we want to honor that request.
Many hospitals in Washington with the help of Washington
State Hospital Association are implementing standard
color wristbands in all hospitals. Color
wristbands help nurses and staff people
to find out the disease in case of emergency without
looking at the Patients history.
In order to support
Barrack Obama, Lasker decided to support Obama for
President Post. So he introduced Purple wristbands
to raise fund for volunteers and supporters to stay
positive and respectful. Rubber wristband with the wordings
"What would Obama do" is a constant reminder to
stay on point. Purple color represents "No blue

from Alzheimer. This disease devastates individuals
and families. The fund raised is used to find ways
to treat cure or prevent Alzheimer's disease, vascular
dementia, Lewy Body disease and fronto-temporal
dementia.
Purple wristbands
are also used to raise fund for pancreatic cancer.
Pancreatic cancer UK raises money to support pancreatic
cancer research, to support pancreatic cancer patients
and their families. Each wristband
has the slogan "Striving for Survival" embossed
on it.
In order to stop Animal
Abuse, purple wristbands are used to raise awareness
and funds. Purple wristband says "stop Animal
Abuse" with paw prints on both sides. Domestic
violence can be in the form of physical, psychological
and emotional abuse, and spoil the lives of victims
who can be male or female, young or old from any
class or cultural background. In order to help people
who are suffering from Domestic violence, purple
silicone wristband was introduced. Purple wristbands
are also used to raise awareness and fund for National
Kidney Federation (Kidney disease research).
