Racism is defined as the hatred of one person by another – or the belief that another person is less than human- because of skin color, language, customs, place of birth or any factor that supposedly reveals the basic nature of that person. Racism is prevalent everywhere, even in sports. Anti racism wristbands were introduced by Theirry Henry and Rio Ferdinand. These wristbands were recently unveiled in London, England and are part of the campaign supported by Nike to get people to stand up and speak out in favor of anti-racism campaigns all over the world. Wearing an anti-racism wristband shows others that you are not prejudiced. It shows that you believe in equality, no matter what color or race they belong to.
