Wristbands Show Support for Liver Cancer AwarenessLiver cancer is a cancer arising from the liver. It is also known as primary liver cancer. Liver is made up of different cell types like bile ducts blood vessels etc. However, liver cells make up 80% of the liver tissue. Majority of primary liver cancers arises from liver cells and is called carcinoma. In 1990, World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that there were about 430,000 new cases of liver cancer worldwide. Most of the cases are found in Southeast Asia.
