Courage wristbands are associated with breast cancer. Courage wristbands have wordings "Hope, courage, Bravery, Endurance" embossed on them. People wear courage wristbands for various reasons. Some of them include: in memory of a person who dies because of cancer, when someone close to you have breast cancer, sometimes you wear this wristband because you like the message on it or to show that you have contributed to the cause. The classic courage wrist band is the yellow rubber wrist band that Lance Armstrong made famous. Once this type of wristband became famous, people realized that this was a new way of making others aware of the need for awareness of different causes. Since people get something in return for their donation, they are more willing to give to a cause. This does not mean to say people would not denote without getting something in return. The attractiveness of the wrist bands means you can wear them as jewelry for any occasion.
