Prostate cancer is a disease in which cancer develops in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system. The specific cause of prostate cancer is still unknown. In the year 2005 in the United States, there were an estimated 230,000 new cases of prostate cancer and 30,000 deaths due to prostate cancer. Many men are suffering from Prostate cancer. In U.S. nearly 186,320 men were affected in 2008 by this disease. This disease can be treated if found early.Light blue wristbands are used to show that you “Feel the power” to lead a healthy life. Wristbands are used to support this cause and spread message that if detected early you can prevent prostate cancer. On wearing cancer awareness wristbands you can create awareness and raise money for that particular cause. Funds that are raised can be used to treat patients who are suffering from cancer or for research purpose. Prostate cancer wristbands are used to make a statement and raise funds for charities and causes.
